Minus the rain fly.
I set up our tent solo again this year since Caleb and I went down early. No, solo and pregnant don't exactly go along with pitching a tent. Even though the tent is ginormous, it's surprisingly easy to pitch by yourself. However, this time I managed to switch two of the poles (which were different lengths). The result...a bent pole. Bent poles are not good for pitching tents! LOL! I can laugh about it now, but it was so extremely frustrating at the time. Before next year, you better believe we'll be giving Coleman some business for a new pole. Good thing they sell spare parts! Lesson: Don't force a tent pole that has no give! Don't. Even if you're a pregnant mother who is bound and determined to get your toddler down for a nap at a decent time. SuperMan Daddy fixed my goof-up when he got there later that night and the tent served its purpose well...and put the rain fly on! Frustrating start to what ended up being a perfect camping weekend.
Great friends. Perfect weather. Delicious food.
You just can't beat chicken and veggie kabobs and steaks on the grill. Tasted so good!
All of these wonderful things make you forget very quickly about a silly tent pole!
Other than necessities, the trucks were the best packing choice I could have made:)
