9 Months...

I am 9 months old!

Loves playing in the kitchen.

In addition to this shiny bowl, Caleb is eating great. Giving finger foods a 2nd try after holding off for a few weeks. He's taking to it much better now. Loves puffs and cheerios. There's a long list of yummy foods Caleb will soon be enjoying! Sign language is going well, too. Caleb recognizes words when I say and sign them.
Easter duds.
Lots of daffodils.
Playing with Mommy's hat.
Relaxing and watching Toy Story with Piglet. One of many sick days here lately. Caleb has had his 2nd round of double ear infections, so we've had lots of snuggle time and TLC. Headed to the ENT clinic this week to see if tubes are the answer. We're ready for his ears to be well so he can feel like himself again!
Caleb loves our two dogs. He'll stare at them and watch their every move. Lately, he's started talking to the dogs when they walk past him (especially Sully). Here he's watching Baby Einstein and he started talking to the puppy dogs on the DVD...it was so cute! He did the same thing with the kittens. Loves animals and B.E.!
Pulling up on everything!
Loves his play table...great for pulling up and standing while he plays.
He's learned how to lower himself back down to the floor without falling over every time. Figuring out what this "mobile life" is all about. :)
Good morning, sleepy boy.
Busy, busy.
Caleb's first trip to the zoo. This lion looked pretty hungry. It kept eyeing all of the kids.
Day with my little man.
Caleb was the only little boy on our zoo outing. He had lots of little girls for company. :) We had a great time being with friends and missed everyone who couldn't be there. So many of our friends have been sick lately, including us. I'm ready for summer...no more pollen!
My handsome little fella.
My two loves.
Is this not the face of a charmer?
"I see you, Mommy!"
Caleb gets really excited when I walk into his room to get him from naps.
Really excited.
We have conquered the scary bath phase for the most part. Caleb loves playing in the bath once again. I am glad my water baby is back!
He's tolerating his earplugs well too. Doing what we can to protect those ears!
Playing while Mom's busy putting laundry away.
That's right! We've got a crawler!
Caleb crawls everywhere! He loves crawling up to the TV. He'll stay there as long as you let him. I've already said the classic line, "Caleb, you shouldn't sit that close to the TV." HA!
Trying to keep up with Sully.
Sully saying hi to his buddy. Every time we get on the floor to play with Caleb, Sully brings his soccer ball to us. EVERY time! He gets very jealous of the time we spend with Caleb. Soooo, we throw the soccer ball a few times to give Sully his warm, fuzzy feeling-fix! :) Sully has been great with Caleb! No complaints. Now that Caleb is mobile, we find him in new places. He thought it was fun playing underneath his jumper. Part of my routine in the morning has changed...now I sweep DAILY! Before C was crawling, I would sweep a few times a week, but now it's EVERYday. Hey, at least the floors stay clean. Thanks Caleb! :) We should put swiffer pads on his hands and knees and he can swiffer the floors while he crawls.
Caleb, it's hard to believe that you are already 9 months old. We'll be celebrating your 1st birthday before we know it! You still love to be read to and to turn the pages when we read. Whether we read in the morning, afternoon or before bed, you absolutely love storytime. You have discovered something new about bedtime...when I put you to bed, sometimes I stop and hold you for an extra minute or two before lying you down. You have discovered that if you put your head on my shoulder then I'll sing a lullaby and hold you a bit longer. It is the sweetest thing in the world! At first you put your head down because you were so tired that you couldn't hold it up any longer, but now you know that you can buy a few more minutes before getting in bed. I love it that you love being sung to and held. There will soon come a day when this will change, so I'm savoring every moment.
We love you!
Mommy and Daddy

  2. On the move! Way to go Caleb! Opens up a whole new world, for the both of you. All of his little facial expressions are priceless. I totally agree with you about the swiffer knee pads. Great idea! ;)
