Whew! We've had a busy month! For starters, we are so thankful for a well and healthy baby! Caleb has been sick the majority of this past month, and we are praising God that he is feeling better! It is no fun having a sick baby. I think Caleb is ready for us to throw the nasal aspirator in the trash (or the booger getter as we call it). :) Everyone is well and kicking right along!

Caleb, you turned 7 months on Saturday! You have been up to a lot this past month...
-Your bottom 2 teeth are in completely now. You're not too fond of me "brushing" them with a washcloth yet, but you're tolerating it. Our dentist told us to keep your pearly whites good and clean from day one! :) You have 2 NEW toofers that are coming in up top! Those 2 just started poking through Sunday morning. You'll be able to chew little bites of filet mignon in no time!

-You are sitting up great! You're very stable now, and you think it's pretty cool to play with your toys while sitting up. Even though you have more stability now, we're still putting your stuffed animal barrier around you to cushion your fall...it's a good thing, because last night you did a pretty cool faceplant while playing with Daddy! :) A faceplant right into one of your Pooh friends.
Our sweet little friend Quincy came over to play!
-You are starting to scoot on your tummy...you want to crawl SO BAD that it frustrates you when you can't reach the toy that you want. You start grunting out of frustration. :) You'll be crawling SO SOON! Last night, you started scooting backwards on your tummy. Where there's a will, there's a way! You have a way of getting where you want to go AND getting the things you want at that given moment by scooting, rolling, or inching like a little inchworm!
-You're in the middle of making the switch from 3 naps a day to only 2 naps a day. You're doing great with eating and sleeping! You have been the easiest baby!! We are so proud of you. You're still doing great with eating 3 meals/4 bottles/day. LOVE TO EAT!!! We really don't think you're going to mind getting rid of your bottle when the time comes. You much rather eat real food, and we don't blame you! You've been playing with your sippy cup for some time now...exploring it, trying to figure it out. A few days ago...it clicked! You figured out how to drink out of it. You haven't figured out that you have to tilt it up to drink yet, but that'll come soon. If I hold it up, you're drinking from it now though. Way to go!
I was cheering for him after he took his first drink out of his sippy cup, and I bet he's thinking, "Mom, is the cheering really necessary? I just wanted a drink!" Gotta love all of the FIRSTS!
-We've started sign language and you LOVE it when I sign to you! It has been so much fun watching you light up and study my hand motions. You are captivated by hands these days! Whether we're signing or clapping...you love it! Sidenote: You love it when we cheer for you. We'll say, "YAY!!!" and clap our hands and you just BEAM!!! :) So far with sign language, I've introduced "more" and "all done/finished" during meals. You are recognizing "more" especially and think it's really fun to hear me say and sign words that you know. Words we're about to start are: bath, eat, thirsty, sleep, paci, mom, dad, and i love you. So excited to see you learn! Sorry Caleb, but you have a teacher for a mom...so, that means you'll be learning lots! That also means LOTS OF HARD WORK! :)

We sat on Lucky for just a minute. Lucky is a very sweet 24 yr. old horse. Caleb is ready for horse-back riding lessons!
Caleb really liked riding the pretend horsey (a.k.a. bale of hay)

Our cousin Luke turned 3 on Saturday! He had the best b'day party. Going out to the farm for a horse-back riding party and a book exchange...WHAT FUN! All of the kids brought a book and then chose a book to take home. Great idea, Aunt Alli! Caleb loves his new book!
