6 Months

Caleb, Caleb, Caleb...where is the time going?! I can't believe you're already 6 months old! Seems like I was just thinking how far 6 months seems from now back when you were a newborn. Those days passed us by too quickly! You're really in a fun stage now - learning lots of new things.

Here's what you've been up to...

-You now weigh 16 lbs. 8 ozs. (50%) and are 28 in. long (95%).

-You are now sitting up. Almost steady. You get lots of practice everyday with your bumbo, boppy and Mama Mia. :)

-You're grabbing everything in sight. The other day you reached for my Dr. Pepper.

-You smile at absolutely everyone you meet. Such a people person! Love it!

-You've moved up to the big boy seat in the shopping cart - this makes me happy because we get to have little chats while I shop plus we get to buy more groceries! :) More food for you!

-Still sleeping and eating great!! So proud of you. Moved to a 4-hr. schedule a few wks. ago and sleeping 11-12 hrs/night. Napping great too; however, you don't like to nap at church though. You don't want to miss anything! :) As for food, you've officially ruled out green beans and squash. I think you'd rather eat dirt - which I'm sure you will some day. :)

-You have your first two toofers! You started cutting your first tooth and just a few days later tooth #2 started to poke through. I'll post a pic of your teeth as soon as they're in all the way. Still hard to see right now.

-You are officially finished with the bouncer and swing...LOL! The reason for this is I witnessed you almost flinging yourself out of both just in the past few days. You have grown so much and are so strong. There is a reason they put a safety strap on these but you outsmarted it for sure. SO, those are going to the attic!

-You have become a big fan of bouncing on my physio ball with me. It's really fun to bounce with you on my lap - you just laugh and anticipate the next big bounce. Good exercise too!

-Laughing all the time! Love to be tickled. Today, I was making your bottle-When I was shaking it to mix it up, you thought it was the funniest thing. You started laughing so hard!

We had your 6 month portraits taken last week, and they turned out great! You loved the photographer - she was really good with you!

We love you buddy! Happy 6 month birthday!! You shared your 6 mo. b'day with your Gigi...it was her birthday too!! That's really special that you'll always get to share your 1/2 b'day with her! :)
